Blind Date TV Shows

Programs like blind date TV shows attract lots of audiences’ attention and arouse people’s intense interest recently. These programs have generated public controversy and heated discussion about the impact and money worship among China’s younger generation.

Some people claim that China’s social environment is changing, as people dare to express their private life and love values in public. What’s more, it should be admitted that the audience are entertained by watching the dating shows.

However, others argue that the negative impacts far outweigh the positive effects. This is noticeable in the false information of the guests and shallow discussion in the TV shows. The remarks “I’d rather cry in a BMW than ride with you on a bike” given by one guest named Ma Nuo will apparently mislead the value orientation of teenagers.

Personally, I think the TV program producers have the responsibility to screen out false information or inappropriate viewpoint and feed us both healthy and entertaining spiritual nutrition.
