6A Unit 7 At Christmas
(Part E Read and write)
Wanghongxia Teaching aims:
1. To enable the students to read and understand the story.
2. To get the students to know how to write a story in a diary.
3. To encourage the students to learn from Jim.
4. To know the pronunciation of the letter OO.
Teaching focus: To enable the students to understand the story.
Teaching methods:
Task based teaching method and situational teaching method etc.
Teaching aids: CAI, some cards ,a present and so on.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Pre-reading
1. Talk about the song in part H to review mine, yours, his etc.
（从歌曲内容谈起，既简单又自然，还为导入打下伏笔。）
3. Lead into Part E
(从歌曲自然过渡到日记。)
Step 2: While-reading
1. Read the instruction.
Read it quickly and find out: Whose diary is it?
What holiday is it?
（自读说明，了解背景知识。学生通过自主阅读获取信息，同时为理解文本打下基础。）
2. Predict according to the picture: What’s under the seat?
What’s the story about?
（通过看插图，了解故事的主要人物，并鼓励学生预测。尊重学生的想法。）
3. First reading: Read and check the prediction.
